Mer de Glace has lost 4.5 m in thickness at the level of the ice cave (1750 m) since the 1st May 2025! 😲😱 On 5th July it has been recorded 5 cm of ablation in 5 hours... 🔥 Ablation rates are truly absurd now in the Alps! 🥵 Source/pics: Pierre Jeanneret / IG
