( <— sound asleep, head under about four different pillows. he spent a lot of the night reading things to jem since she couldn’t sleep … 💤 )

( riddler’s got his hat over his face too, poor glasses lenses all smeared and dirty, it’s a miracle he hasn’t suffocated. up so late last night, he’d totally forgotten the date. chest slowly moving up and down as he rests, completely unaware of the surprise waiting for him. )

( the brunette stirs, but so far remains sleeping. body nice and warm from all the hogging of the pillows along with a modest share of the blanket. the feeling of jem against him makes him curl up some, snoring softly. )

those curls have been slowly coming back as he’s been settling into being home with the two more and more. he’s even become a deep sleeper at this rate, evidently considering he didn’t startle with jem joining by his side in the bed. able to feel comfortable, safe, enough to be.

but, even still, it’s hard to keep him asleep for long.. always twitching, ready to rush head first back into what he loves.. an eye blearily opens with the hushed speaking once again starting up, a lazy smile crossing his lips as he catches sight of the two. “good morning..”

a hand outstretches, lithe fingers reaching about before grabbing successfully onto the stems. “oh, april already?”, riddler rasps pleasantly, eyes shutting again as he puts the glasses on, and slowly begins to sit up.

the best part of watching the news is sometimes i get to play bingo with how many crimes me or someone i know have committed are reported on in one night.

they’re so sloppy sometimes .. even though i’m perfectly clear with what i do, i like signing my work THANK YOU, sometimes i get roped into their little speculation segments. the nerve.

exactly. we’re far better than some run of the mill robbery or petty crime. no need to try to wonder, you’ll know.

they just don’t get it ! it’s frustrating.. i hate the way they treat it. so patronizing and with such a lack of tact. everyone in this city … so ignorant …
