I watched "The Place Beyond the Pines" with my dad today, a 2012 film I had never heard of starring Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes, Bradley Cooper, & Ray Liotta. It has some excellent aspects but was a very strange, dark story. I can't recommend it to anyone, but want to talk about it.
