RIP, Ralph Eggleston, who has died from pancreatic cancer at 56. He won an Oscar for his short 'For the Birds,' but that doesn't even begin to describe his legacy. Pixar films look the way they do in large part because of him. A cornerstone of that company. Full obit to come.

50 years ago today, the last men landed on the Moon. Schmitt: “We is here!” Cernan made his way out first: “God, that LM is a pretty sight!” South Massif is 4.5 miles away. 4 shot stitched panorama, remastered from original flight film. #ApolloRemastered

I think ticket offices at railway stations are one of those things that remind of what a society should actually be. Real jobs and real interactions , and community can sometimes be placed above shareholder dividends. It's a choice we can make. #SaveTicketOffices

#StephenCartwright was the illustrator of the wonderful Poppy and Sam books, he died aged 56 on this day in 2004. His beautifully drawn Boot family at Apple Tree Farm along with its wayward little yellow duck were loved by my children as they grew up. A talent for sure #usborne

Born February 28th, 1924 - a century ago - Chris Kraft was destined to become a colossus of space flight. A true leader of leaders, he created Mission Control, and is at the heart of our film. What a privilege it was to work with him! Blue skies, sir.

BREAKING: Anne Hathaway just gave the clearest reasons why Donald Trump’s overturning Roe v. Wade is devastating to millions of Americans. The only way to end this is by electing President Biden & a democratic Congress. Retweet so all Americans see this.
