First time in Hakodate and feeling similar vibes to Nagasaki/Yokohama. I assume frontier port related. (Perry came here too) There’s a Motomachi area with churches, cemeteries and consulates (.. and hills) All important when you’re trying to colonise a country 😅

Last post for tonight After 10pm, when the 🚠 stops running, you can drive up to the top of Mt Hakodate (334m) for the view of the harbour and city 🙏👍😅

Today was a long day. Felt like I was fighting against everything and body to fit it all in. Hakodate > Shakotan Misaki > Yoichi > Otaru > Sapporo (Too many tunnels) Pretty sure my missus dispelled the theory by Copernicus that the 🌏 revolves around the 🌞 😅
