In 2019, when he was thrown out of the Labour Party, Saj Malik didn't want to talk about the Domestic Violence Protection Order served against him. Now he is standing for the council that protects vulnerable adults... is this the right time? bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

All of the motorists have now decided to leave Oxford. It should be a lot more pleasant now. 😉 Inevitably, there has been a crash.

'Hedgehog' in Private Eye Magazine sets out very neatly the dilemma of dangerous ageing drivers (but young men are worse) vs. development of housing, retail and health where public transport is not available.

Climate change is affecting us in an increasing number of ways. But Oxford has always been at the forefront of the science, from the earliest weather records 250 years ago. We took a look both at the science of climate change, & Oxford’s part in it.👇 oxfordclarion.uk/climate-change…

As people switch to EVs, fuel duty revenue will plummet. Govt should set out a process for introducing a per-mile charge for EVs. This would be fair, and avoid a budget black hole. The charge should be low, so it's still cheaper to drive a cleaner car. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

This Oxford Mail letter writer is not impressed by "changes" to buses. In fact, they are big improvements: new and extended routes, more and faster buses - as he wants. All thanks to the Congestion Charge. Maybe because the Oxford Mail called them 'changes' not 'improvements'?

Parnham seems to have conveniently forgotten the epic traffic traffic jams in Headington or on St. Clements. And failed to understand that traffic may flow on the road between two points, but grind to a halt in the queue at the end. (Which I'm sure he used to complain about).

Love or hate electric cars, this being accepted as normal is bizarre. We now live in a world where it’s considered reasonable to idle a car outside school gates so you stay warm for a few minutes, at the direct expense of other people’s health. Vehicle exhausts release nitrogen
