My first post! Even though I registered the account over ten years ago. Luckily I recalled the password for recent set up. Picked a name no one else uses, hahaha. Photo taken during recent Mangawhai cliff top walk. The Honda Fit, was lost near Pakiri. Trusty roadie warrior.

Stumbled across the book: The Vanished: The "Evaporated People" of Japan in Stories and Photographs. On the Auckland City Library Libby app. Powerful and moving read.

Walked up Maungawhau, or Mount Eden on a nice winter’s (!) day. It’s the tallest mountain in Auckland. The photo of the island Rangitoto contains five volcanoes. Mt Eden, Victoria, Cambria, North Head, Rangitoto. Yep, lots of volcanoes here. Thankfully not active….

Cruise ship season is starting up again… P&O Pacific Explorer at Queens Wharf in Auckland yesterday, just before departing. The ship will leave the fleet in February ‘25.
