Right! Internally, the company is trying to determine whether initiative X (Game Pass) works (is making money). While making that determination what sense could it possibly make to say the cost of making, say, Halo is “charged against” GP. You’d lose all signal in the noise.

Business news tip: 9 times out of 10 the company isn’t lying in a financial call (big liability exposure there). You’re just not hearing what they’re saying.
