We have really enjoyed learning the story, “We’re going on a Bear Hunt” This week, we have drawn a beautiful picture of our favourite part of the story and added marks to ascribe meaning.

Christmas has arrived in Pre-School! We’ve had lots of fun this morning dancing and decorating our Christmas tree. Well done boys and girls 🎄

Our mystery storyteller, Mrs Keating, visited pre-school on Wednesday and Thursday to read “Whatever Next” and “The Smeds and the Smoos. “ We all listened very carefully and really enjoyed the stories. Thank you Mrs Keating.

What a lovely morning sharing ‘our favourite stories’ for World Book Day 📔

A very busy afternoon at St Marie’s hospital. The children have been exploring bandages, thermometers and stethoscopes.

Today the children in pre-school wore something purple. We then made purple play dough in our creative area. #EpilepsyAwarenessMonth

The children created a train today in preschool. They said we were going to the zoo! We all sang “The magic train ride.”

This week we have been learning about the artist Piet Mondrian and how he uses shape to create beautiful artwork.🎨

This week, we have been learning about ‘The lifecycle of a Butterfly’ Our hungry caterpillars have grown so much. The children have had lots of fun choosing names for them. Within the next few weeks, they will become a chrysalis. 🐛🦋

The children have had lots of fun this afternoon building a fire engine out of crates. They used pipes as hoses and pretended to put the fires out around the garden.

Today, we released our beautiful Butterflies into nature. The children loved observing their colours and “fluffy” bodies. The children hope that they find new homes that they love. We then waved goodbye to the Butterflies. What a wonderful end to a wonderful half term. 🦋

This week, we have reenacted the Wiseman’s journey to baby Jesus. The children gave him gifts of Gold, frankincense and Myrrh.

The children have enjoyed a visit from Rhesus Rangers today. We learnt all about how to help our friends and family if they are hurt. In an emergency, we learnt how to call 999 and ask for help. Well done pre-school.
