Pupil Parliament meetings are led by our Head Boy and Head Girl each month who go through different points, talking to our ministers. Today, Pupil Parliament helped us identify the safest areas around school.

Remembering all those who have been caught in conflict and fought for the peace in our world.

What a pleasure welcoming Dorking Wanderers FC @DWFCLadies to St. John's this week, leading an inspirational assembly on participation, hard work and determination. A huge thank you to Dorking Wanderers who have given every child at St. John's a ticket to their home game this Saturday.

We are very proud to share the exceptionally good news that St. John's continues to be a 'Good' school. Thank you to the leaders, teachers, pupils, families, support staff, community team ... everyone at the school, past and present, who have contributed to this success!

Wow! Year 2 have worked really hard with bar modelling to support their Maths — No Problem! and arithmetic work! Bar modelling has deepened our number sense and understanding of different calculations. Mastery!

Every child at St. John's is given a free account with DoodleLearning for Doodle Maths. This is a journey of learning for a child who has used Doodle every day for a year at St. John's! Incredible outcomes!

St. John's thoroughly enjoyed their learning at Squire's Garden Centres Buckland this week, planting potatoes in the Grow Your Own Chips workshop. The potatoes are now growing and being cared for on Jolly John's farm. We look forward to going back in June to dig up and eat what we have grown!

Our Reception class have had a 2 week trial for DoodleLearning . This is the outcome from the parent questionnaire shared this week. 100% of children enjoyed using it and 100% of parents would like to continue having a subscription, which has been secured this afternoon!

We have completed our Grow Your Own Chips program with Squire's Garden Centres ! Thank you for welcoming us and giving us the real life lesson of Farm to Fork, which has enhanced our understanding of the principle of Cycle. We had such a great time!

Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered for her faithful service to the nation and Commonwealth, her loving commitment to her family and the strengths gained from her faith, which will live on through us. We share our condolences to the Royal Family and hold them in our prayers.

What a delight to welcome Dorking Wanderers FC and Dorking Wanderers Football Academy to St. John's this week! Our KS2 classes loved their football training and chance to meet first team player, Isaac Philpot. The children loved learning new ball skills and ball control.
