Hello All. As you all may have guessed by now, the Leagues will NOT be restarting this week as we had all hoped. We still have too many of our member clubs who are not opening, or restricted to members only at this time due to the extension of the Lockdown period. (1/2)

(5/5) More poignantly, when processing last nights results, John was at the top of the Player Stats. for Division 2 with 4 wins from 4 and, so I was told, was winning well in his frame when the unthinkable happened. Forever will you remain unbeaten. Rest easy John, God Bless.

(4/5) The news just wont sink in and I'm sure all who knew him will feel the same at this time. I'd like to post the photo below of happy memories when John came up to collect the KWT Plate at Presentation night when his team won it in 2016-17.

(3/5) Needless to say, it is absolutely heartbreaking and devastating to hear such news and our immediate thoughts go out to Johns family, friends and team-mates, and also to those who witnessed such tragic events unfold during one of our League matches.

(2/5) Personally, I knew John for many years from the days of Triplex club and when we all played out of Greenalls when the Triplex club closed. An absolute Gent of a man who loved playing his Snooker both socially and with us in the League, to great success too.

(1/5) Last night, during a Thursday League match between St. Annes & Greenalls, one of our long serving players, John Lathom, tragically collapsed from a cardiac arrest whilst playing in his frame. Despite the heroic efforts of club members, & paramedics, John sadly passed away.
