This might be a first…. As crews wrapped up one call, another request came in same location, different area. (that’s not new.) But here’s the twist,it wasn’t fire or medical. A slithery guest needed help! With some Steve Irwin energy, we kindly escorted them outside.

Crews responded this morning to a residential fire. Black smoke visible on arrival. Fire contained to attic. No occupants home, no injuries reported. Initial investigation suggests lightning strike as cause. Remember to check smoke detectors and have an evacuation plan ready!

Last night, Engine 23 🚒 responded to a cat in distress, but this time, she wasn’t in a tree… she was stuck under a car! 🐱 Our crew rescued the kitten safely, and the car owner gave her a forever home. Now that’s a happy ending! ❤️

Crews from St. Tammany Fire District No. 2 were dispatched to assist with the fire at Smitty’s Supply in Roseland, Louisiana. We’re proud to stand alongside our fellow responders when called, working together to keep our communities safe. Wishing all crews a safe return. #stfd2

🔥 Structure Fire🔥 Earlier today, crews responded to a residential structure fire involving a historic home. The fire was contained and prevented from spreading to an attached, occupied cottage. No injuries were reported. Cause under investigation. Smoke alarms save lives.
