In some personal news… I just launched CIVIL (an impact comms and public affairs agency) to stay in good trouble and take on fights for social justice. I'm excited to rep CBCPAC as a part of this journey.

it’s not shade. it’s growth. i just don’t bloom in every environment anymore.

some connections taught me love. others taught me limits. I needed both.

some of my prayers don’t sound like “please” anymore. they sound like “thank You.” they sound like “I trust You.”

It’s not that i’m too much. It’s that you never met someone who could hold this much purpose without breaking

bad thoughts don’t just hurt. they hijack my energy. they shape how I show up, how I speak, how I serve. so now, I water what’s worth growing. because my mind is the ground every version of me grows from.

this quarter, I started seeing myself as someone worth protecting. and that changed everything.

when I stopped trying to be included, I finally felt seen by God, by purpose, by people who don’t need convincing.

Love from the past shouldn’t be a lifetime subscription to your present sacrifices

Stop trying to be understandable to people who don’t speak your language. Your love is too rich for the emotionally bankrupt.

We all choose: social currency or social capital. One brings attention…and maybe temporary happiness. The other builds access, foundation, and freedom. I know which one I’m chasing.
