Really enjoyed hearing about from Lowri Cunnington Wynn at the #SOILLSE22 conference. Concept of restanza sounds like something that is often desired but being denied in H&I (esp to younger people) due to issues surrounding housing & jobs. More here: iwa.wales/agenda/2022/07… Diolch, Lowri!
Fantastic to hear @SeamasHCarey on the Lesley Riddoch podcast with Patrick Joyce Seamas's podcast The Reason Why is the best limited series I've ever listened to and raised many of the issues residents of rural Scotland are facing. Funny and thought-provoking in equal measures.
While I am still in mourning at the lack of Caithness Broch Project calendar for 2024 it seems like they might have their work cut out building an actual broch instead. In the place of Caithness landscapes I'm delighted Christina Riley is doing these, support local artists.
One of the most inspiring projects I have seen in H&I, but the sheer graft that went into this by Community School alongside Communities Housing Trust shouldn't be underestimated. Needless to say, it shouldn't have been as hard as it was considering the goal and benefits.
Does anyone know if Bòrd na Gàidhlig have been asked for their Islands Communities Impact Assessment on the effect of withdrawal of the Gaelic Officers Scheme funding? Nothing on their website. Rhoda Meek Domhnall Macsween Ryan Dziadowiec Pàdruig Moireasdan Conchúr Ó Giollagáin
My dad found this skull on a golf course in South Ayrshire and has no idea what it's from. Martin Gray can you or others help, please? It's about 7cm x 4cm.
Hi Martin Gray I’ve already checked with Christina Riley and we have no idea what this is… (glasses for size reference) please could you help?
