What a strange way to ask “Are you comfortable w leaving abandoned houses empty in your area while people live outside in need of them?” Why would we frame the choice on the housing of people in homes instead of on the morally indefensible choosing to allow them to stay empty?

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but ending homelessness in our community &/or American isn’t about setting a target number of people we house. It’s about changing systems, holding corporate actors responsible & building the necessary housing for our most vulnerable citizens.

As for funerals of the so-called "unsaved"? For people (like me) you think are damned because they didn't pray your "sinner's prayer" or, God forbid, deconstructed? For the sake of the bereaved, I hope you don't come anywhere near one. Everyone deserves to rest in peace. 8/8

A homeless woman in our support group shared this photo. She lives in her truck. It’s -20 today. A friend has allowed her to use this makeshift garage while it’s cold. Imagine living like this. Sadly, it’s a reality for far too many people.
