Dear UN Climate Change , pls mske sure that at #COP29 we have searchable, accessible information on ALL side events also in pavillions. Enormous waste of resources to see that all the amazing wealth of events by hundreds of pavillions that remain underutilised without information. 1/2

WWF's Stephen Cornelius: Limiting warming to 1.5°C is our north star. To do this, we have to address the main cause of the climate crisis: fossil fuels. To avoid the worst impacts and protect people and nature, leaders must deliver in these final hours at #COP28.

All at #COP28 are waiting for the next text to drop - the one yesterday was a disaster. Bets are on for when COP will finish- but it must be before Fri 15th Dec as "Winter City" starts. It's on message for #ClimateChange "The North Pole is melting, and there's no time to lose"

Stephen Cornelius says of #cop28 draft: “If this text is agreed by countries, it would represent a significant moment. For decades UN climate talks have failed to address fuels driving the climate crisis.”

#BREAKING: Countries at #COP28 agree to transition away from fossil fuels, although fail to commit to a full phase out. This is significant as the outcome signals the beginning of the end for the fossil fuel era. Now, we'll need to see this go from agreement to action.

#COP28 is over… and after 3 decades of United Nations climate negotiations, countries have at last shifted the focus to the polluting fossil fuels and have agreed to transition away from them. However they've fallen short of consensus on the full phase out of coal, oil and gas. This

#BREAKING: For the first time, we’ve lived through 12 straight months with global warming of 1.5°C. We haven’t passed the 1.5°C goal of the #ParisAgreement, but it’s a huge warning sign that we’re getting close. We must do more to tackle the #ClimateCrisis, fast. 🚨

"We need to slash emissions or we’ll overshoot way past 1.5°C. We must phase out fossil fuels and swiftly move to 100% clean renewable energy, as well as to protect and restore natural ecosystems" says WWF's Stephen Cornelius Our WWF Climate & Energy reaction ⤵️ wwf.panda.org/wwf_news/press…

BREAKING: WWF has submitted a statement to the ICJ, saying countries have a legal duty to protect nature, in addition to their obligation to tackle the climate crisis. This should be recognized in the Court's advisory opinion on climate change. bit.ly/3SdIs4n
