Spent 4.5 days in the Big Easy with Ag Ts from across the US at our annual National Association of Agricultural Educators conference. Great PD (how many can say that?!), excellent food/sights and an outstanding IA group. Fabulous week of personal & professional growth. Time to finish the semester!

Judged 4th grade bucket/bottle calf interviews today. WOW, the knowledge and drive these young people have of raising animals is incredible! If politicians spent more time at county fairs and in rural America, they would know our future is in good hands!

Great work Easton Valley CSD FFA milk quality team today at Iowa FFA Association contest. Third place team, high team in Milk Products and a seventh overall team member. Proud and pleased with these results!!

Watched “my girls” receive their American Degrees yesterday. They were my first class of freshman at Belle Plaine. We went through a lot together in four years. Proud is an understatement. Their futures are very bright!

I was inducted into the Riverhawk NHS Chapter today as their Honorary Inductee. Very surprised and humbled. Glad my parents were in on the secret and got to share this moment with me. Everyday’s a great day to be a Riverhawk!!
