Today our Policy team met with Clive Jones MP, where we shared an update on our campaign for a National Brain Tumour Strategy. Following the announcement of a cancer plan at the debate Clive secured last week, we discussed how our asks feed into the cancer and 10-year health plan.
The brain tumour community has been overlooked by healthcare policies. As the government engages in consultations for the 10-Year Health Plan, it’s essential to improve support for patients. Dr Michele Afif The Brain Tumour Charity explains why. #PartnerContent politicshome.com/members/articl…
“Collectively, brain tumours affect about 12,500 people a year in the country.” The type of brain tumour that Davina McCall will have surgery to remove is “extremely rare”, says Dr Michele Afif, chief executive of The Brain Tumour Charity. #TimesRadio | @KaitBorsay
It was a pleasure to co-host the Less Survivable Cancers Drop-In event in Parliament alongside Charlie Maynard MP 🔶. In partnership with The Brain Tumour Charity, we highlighted the urgent need for action & how we can work together to make a real difference. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
Yesterday, as part of the Less Survivable Cancers Taskforce Cancers Taskforce, we hosted a parliamentary drop-in at the House of Commons. The event brought together six charities to connect with MPs and amplify the voices of those affected by less survivable cancers. 💙 #LSCT
Paulette Hamilton MP - I loved our double act all in the name of an excellent cause. Looking forward to doing what we can to go after these cancers.
Following an incredible response from our "write to MP" action, we've been meeting MPs from all different parties in Parliament. Yesterday we met with @gregorystafford, @ollygloverLD, Nic Dakin MP and Martin Vickers MP to continue our call for a National Brain Tumour Strategy.
Please consider the The Brain Tumour Charity appeal. Every UK donation before 10th December will be matched - so you make double the difference. So much more research and support needed for brain tumours. ❤️ bit.ly/3ZnVD5F

This #WorldCancerDay, we welcome the Andrew Gwynne MP announcement in parliament that there will be a consultation for the government’s upcoming cancer plan. We're pleased to see his recognition of brain tumours in particular being an area where more must be done to improve outcomes.
Brain tumours are the largest cancer killers of those under 40, and 12,000 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour every year in the UK. It was good to meet with The Brain Tumour Charity to learn more about this condition. #BrainTumourAwarenessMonth
Thank you so much to Jess Asato MP for sponsoring our event yesterday! #BrainTumourAwarenessMonth
