I feel this every year. I feel for the black community as Juneteenth is now getting the same treatment. And yet the cis white folks are still asking why we aren't happy since we finally have what we asked for. FYI we want equal rights, honesty, and respect. Not commercialization.

Working with collections - I wonder what people using them in 100 years time will think about how we cared for them. Our cataloguing, our terminologies, our systems, what we put in, what we leave out. We try our best but what absences are we creating that we can’t see.
