A ray of hope for general practice nurses and GPs. My petition to allow them to be funded properly is currently the most popular government petition in the UK. #ARRSpetition The NHA Party Andrew Rosindell MP 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 @BBCradio4 #insidehealth Byline Times @MailonLine @theTimes

A recent petition to allow the public the right to see a GP within a few days received over half a million votes. Well, now we need people to sign a petition so there will still be GPs to see them. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/6529… #ARRSpetition

"This isn’t an office job. They’re not photocopying the wrong document - they’re killing people." Utterly staggering goings-on in the UK. 🤯 I struggle to understand why patients aren't up in arms about this. What are they being told? The BMA #NHSCrisis lbc.co.uk/opinion/views/…

Merseyside Pensioners Association members held Cheshire & Merseyside Health & Care Partnership to account over replacing doctors w cheaper, unqualified staff & the lack of accountability of this board which holds power over what rationed postcode lottery of services are on offer. Services cut to make profit

Here’s an equal pay claim if you’ve ever seen one. Use a new physician associate (only 2 years training) to join the foundation programme. Tell the doctors they have to have done at least 5 years of uni to join the same programme. Pay the doctor £32,000. Pay the physician

Prioritised for GP jobs, added to SHO and 'middle grade' rotas. Paid more for less hours, registered by GMC, allowed to be members of Royal colleges, now on doctors foundation programmes. Might as well scrap medical schools at this rate. All the risk, none of the reward

Please read my comment on this article. It asks the BMA to explain to the public the petition to add GPs to the list of ARRS funded roles. pulsetoday.co.uk/analysis/contr… #ARRSpetition

Cleverclogs ExplosiveEnema RCGP I wish we could have non GP Doctors working in PC. barriers are located in regulatory, professional, contractually , funding and other areas. But I agree. We have multiple ARRS roles but not other doctors unless we ‘refer’ to them, that is can’t take patients directly from list

I and Mark Steggles (Chairs of GPC England and the Sessional GPs Committee, General Practice) were concerned & disappointed to read this where @ShilpaPatelGPP asserts that enabling practices to use ARRS funding to employ additional GPs would be ‘ridiculous’. 1/n
