FIRST ALERT// Storm Timing // Expect precipitation to start as a mix of rain/sleet along the coast and sleet/snow inland after 3 p.m. Look for a change over to all snow after 7 p.m. (possible mix w/ sleet along immediate coast) Then ending in the morning hours.

FIRST ALERT// Snowfall Totals Increased// We are increasing our snowfall totals a bit because of colder thermal profiles. Look for a 4-5" snowfall possible just back from the immediate coast and 2-4" well inland along the I-95 corridor. Higher amounts possible in any banding.

FIRST ALERT: The bubble of sleet around the Charleston area continues while most farther inland areas are experiencing mainly light to moderate snowfall. The back edge is parked near I-95 right now and will slowly make its way to the coast toward sunrise.

FIRST ALERT// Dangerous Bitter Cold Tonight // Temps will dip into the teens overnight. The record low is 19 and we will be close. Use extreme cold precautions like dripping the faucets, keeping people & pets warm, etc. We will keep you posted.

FIRST ALERT: A "Cold Weather Advisory" is in effect for the Charleston Tri-County and Colleton County beginning at midnight tonight. Wind chills (and overnight lows) could fall into the upper-teens and 20s, which will be concerning for refreezing of area roads after dusk. #SCWX

Snow remains on the ground across the Carolinas this morning! Visible satellite shows the snow along the coast. The snow will eventually go away over the next few days as temperatures soar into the 50s and 60s.

FIRST ALERT: Black ice will be possible for one more night as overnight lows drop into the 20s and 30s! Be on the lookout for a few remaining slick spots Sunday morning, mainly on sidewalks and back roads. Lingering ice/snow should finish melting with highs nearing 60°. #SCWX
