anime theater events are some of the only ways that an animated movie gets to have a cultural moment these days. Aang was perfectly set up to recieve that moment & the people who made the decision to take that away are so shortsighted

I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again. Most artist don’t work for the money (which is usually pretty low anyway) they work for the moment when their project is released & enjoy & celebrate in that moment. To *steal* that from them is the height of hate and disrespect for them.

Honestly this leak gave space to the biggest online conversation I've ever seen about how some creatives are disrespected by their studios and fans alike. It's still an unfortunate situation for everyone involved, and I truly hope they decide to have a proper release of the film

This might be the worst leak I’ve ever seen. I feel devastated for the studio. Such a staggering beautiful film. If you worked on this, please know, your talents should be marvelled.

We live in the absolute goofiest timeline where Glitch, an independent animation studio, is about to make millions at the box office, while Paramount - an 100year old studio yanked a sure fire financial hit from theaters only to have it leak on twitter 6months before release.
