I absolutely hate VAR more than anything else in the world. I never really celebrate goals the same way I used to, always a bit hesitant on the terraces to go nuts. The sport has actively introduced something that has tampered with the single more important part of being a fan.
There's simply no way you can watch that moment happen and think VAR is benefitting football. Pre-VAR it would have either been a flag up right away from the offset, or the flag says down and the moment happens. Either of those are better for football than what we just witnessed.
Last season we refunded the fans for our dismal showing at Newcastle, and expect the same today. I reckon next season just cut to the chase and don't charge anyone for their tickets from the offset.
As always fans come second. We have to wait until the outcome of the Bayern tie & the SF draw before we know what day the NLD is on. Fans can’t plan their trip or their weekend. Just make it the Sat lunchtime. Pick a date that can’t be changed. All cos Sky want their Super Sunday
