'Communist should not stand for any of the two imperialist parties. Communists can pursue a policy in which they will benefit from the contradictions between imperialist based on their situation, but should concentrate on bugging the hell out of its own bourgeoisie and state'

The dissonance is killing me. Ukraine has 'defeated' Russia by losing vast swathes of the country in just a few weeks. I can't remember another war when was what said versus what was staring us in the face were so far away.

sublationmag.com/post/the-ukrai… One of Russia’s stated goals for the invasion of Ukraine was the “denazification” of Ukraine. Russia destroyed the only unit Azov started the year with, but the war has allowed Azov to found seven more in the meantime.

'As we look upon the degenerate and exhausted bourgeoisie, all out of ideas, all out of capacity to do anything interesting, so closely tied by the necessity of profit making, pushed out of the productive realm, the question we should think about is: what will become of us?'

sublationmag.com/post/the-moral… Back in Sublation 'We are meant to be afraid of a paperclip maximiser, but this is not some terrifying unimaginable future imposed on us by some Machine-God, but a perfect description of the world we currently live in, dominated by profit maximisers'

Alex Hochuli 🧉🎙️🤯📉 Russia/Ukraine war is really brilliant example that shows in the current era even when things 'happen', barely anything happens at all. Just a constant settling with new realities and continuing on 99% as before.

I suggested we watch and discuss this Buñuel classic as a way of understanding recent films that satirise the elite, as well as reading some pieces - old and new (by David Polansky & Stefan Bertram-Lee) - on the bourgeoisie

Very rare one for me as I do a bit of Moralism on Ben's substack, defending the strangely unpopular thesis that its bad to kill soldiers benburgis.substack.com/p/guest-post-b…

At 4 PM East Coast/1 West Coast, I'll be chatting w/Stefan Bertram-Lee on THIS IS REVOLUTION podcast about Stefan's guest essay on my Substack on the ethics of killing soldiers. You can watch it there or cross-streamed to Give Them An Argument With Ben Burgis: youtube.com/watch?v=FMG2Wy…

What do Luigi Mangione, the toppling of the Syrian government, and Keir Starmer all have in common? They embody the passive politics of our time. Stefan Bertram-Lee Sublation Magazine sublationmag.com/post/what-do-l…
