A Texas woman was put on an emergency flight to Colorado *in the middle of a miscarriage* to save her life, and NPR just gets quotes from both sides of the ‘saving women in mortal peril’ debate & calls it a day. Things might get awkward if you ask John Seago follow-up questions!

But here we are again, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. That denial letter you sent last week? One of thousands, I'm sure. Did you read her chart? Or was your letter algorithm-generated, one of those standard barriers you put up? If you put up enough barriers, lots of people give up.

The other thing about endometriosis is that we need to stop thinking about most Interstitial Cystitis and IBS as their own separate diseases and recognize that they are SYMPTOMS of endo. With few exceptions, young female patients given these diagnoses have endometriosis.

I'm starting a new med school. Research is prohibited. You may look at research and discuss existing research, but under no circumstances are you allowed to calculate a p value. You will not write about your materials or your methods. The IRB will be disbanded.

People get super upset when folks who aren’t doctors give medical advice, but every time my uncle asks me about his knee arthritis I tell him to put heat on it and I have no idea if that’s a good suggestion or not.

So the only options for getting an MRI are 6 weeks from now or send the patient to the ED with a note pinned to their shirt that says “sorry this is not an emergency more of a subacute issue but I don’t know what else to do.”
