Year 6 had a fun maths lesson today exploring what happens when numbers are multiplied by powers of ten. This helped us back in class with multiplying decimals by 10, 100 and 1000.

Year 5 have started their new maths unit on addition and subtraction. To introduce this unit, they completed a scavenger hunt where they had to answer different addition and subtraction questions in order to find the next clue in the sequence.

Year 5 investigated how you could separate different solids from each other in science. They had a mixture that consisted of a range of various solids, and they had to make their own sieve to attempt to separate as many solids from each other as possible.

A purposeful and informative first School Council meeting of the year, led very capably by our Chair and Vice Chair, Tiago and Georgina. All Council members shared some very interesting thoughts and opinions about behaviour, playground equipment, challenge and fundraising ideas.
