The people of God are capable of extraordinary things…when we pray, when we trust Christ to be Christ…when our ministries are not subtle displays of how spiritual we are, but instead deal with the raw hurts and open wounds of real people.

"I want a hamburger. No, a cheeseburger. I want a hot dog. I want a milkshake. I want potato chips ..." "You'll get nothing and like it!"

What does it matter if we are getting more things done if the things we are getting done are ultimately the wrong things? One is a mile on a treadmill and the other is a mile on the right path.

In our desire for APPROVAL, we give power over us to people who should never be in that position. It is personal sabotage. We give people power OVER how our minds work, what we think, what we believe, even what we do. Only God can safely occupy that place in our lives.

WORDS are the bridge for every relationship. Language is how we relate to people & because people matter supremely, words matter supremely. Our words reveal how we treat others in an audible, undeniable way. Jesus said, “Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.”

Save yourself the energy of trying to explain something to someone who can’t afford to understand.
