love when people confidently state that technologies i've used in production for several years "aren't production-ready"

Very early C compilers had all struct members in the same namespace, so you had to add prefixes like 'tc_size', 'ws_size', etc. Nowadays, there may be a dozen different 'size' members in a codebase. It is conceivable that understandability is actually lower with overloaded names.

The “speed of thought” (neuron conduction speed) is only 110m/s, which isn’t that fast. 9 ms of latency just in your arm!

Documentation-driven development: When you realize that your API could be improved by trying to explain how it works.

If you don't know about Lamdera yet, you're in for a treat. It blew my mind when I first learned about it, but also made so much sense because the concept is so simple and elegant. It's all just Elm, back to front, with no glue code.

There should be an automatic mapping from cellular numbers to IPV6 addresses so you can run a directly accessible server on any cell phone.
