There's nothing I quite love more than sitting alone in the dark on a Sunday evening because a storm knocked my power out almost 3 hours ago and the power company won't provide an estimated time of restoration. So glad I pay them each month to be left unable to make dinner.

This is my current AOTY and it's not even close. Such a phenomenal album.

Man, this is a really special album.

Rivers of Nihil prove yet again that they are masters at their craft. Their self-titled album is nothing short of another masterpiece that fits perfectly in their discography, showcasing how their musicianship and songwriting have evolved and grown over the years.

Nothing like coming home to no power on a perfectly clear and sunny day. Going off of emails I've received, it's been off for several hours. This is unacceptable.

Today is a very good day for new music.

I just watched the UPS driver skip right over my location, then send an email saying that they tried delivering but I wasn't there. I wish I could get paid to not do my job. Must be nice.

Not a fan. It sounds like there's a filter on Tim's voice the entire time. I don't get it, he sounded amazing on Nowhere Generation. The songs are slow, radio-friendly, and lack impact. It feels like all of the edge and emotion is gone. It all seems very phoned in.

I'm so tired.

I just don't want to live in America anymore. There's so much hatred and violence. We're becoming numb to it. I don't give a fuck which "side" you're on. We shouldn't be fighting each other. This is not the American dream I was sold when I was young. We are a country divided.

On a happier note, the new Deftones album is really good.

Lorna Shore have gotten really good at releasing the exact same album over and over.
