Year 3 enjoyed being back at #ForestSchool. We have started an experiment to see the effects of sunscreen. We used it as paint on dark paper and will see what happens after it is left in the sun. We have guessed what might happen based on how sunscreen works on our skin.

Some of the Year 3 netball squad during their lesson today. Their focus was movement and footwork.

This week #SunflowersNursery Seedlings have enjoyed exploring gloop which was made with cornflour and water. They used different tools to mix the gloop and investigate how the substance changed. #StainesPrepEarlyYears #UnderstandingtheWorld

On Friday, Petals in #SunflowersNursery looked at The Three Little Pigs and retold the story using the props. They huffed and puffed and blew down the houses made of straw and sticks. #StainesPrepEarlyYears

Our Year 4 scientists investigated how long it takes for ice, butter and chocolate to melt! 🧊🧈🍫 They carefully observed each solid and recorded their results. Lots of excitement as they discovered how different materials melt at different speeds. #Year4Science #YoungScientists
