No better countryside anywhere, let's look after it; trying to persuade locals that people from Stoke aren't foreign & we're better off in Europe. #StopBrexit

What Emily Maitlis seemed to me to be saying in her Edinburgh lecture was that there are truths that need to be told that can be stated as facts without requiring rebuttal. A short thread to discuss this…..

True in 2005, still true now. Also, he isn’t a Tory, and never was. Class act. He was right on this, and, years later, right on Brexit. He went on to win a third Labour term weeks later. Progressive centre. 👌 x.com/TBetter97/stat…

The origin of our current malaise was the Brexit referendum. Charitably, it was a risky bet on a radical shift in our long-established and reasonably successful economic and geopolitical model and the bet has been lost. What we are seeing now is government by sunk-cost fallacy.

The The Times and The Sunday Times Leader column and my interview raises a very big question. Why did it take ladies from Yorkshire, surfers from Cornwall, and an aging musician to bring this to national attention. What have those ‘river’ charities been doing all these years? Time for change.

Dutch friend here in The Hague just returned some clothing to the UK because the postal company charged her an extra 140 quid for the import costs. She just got a full refund. It's just not worth it anymore for EU customers to buy from the UK #BrexitBrokeBritain #BrexitDisaster

£0 because the NHS is not a charity, it is a public service. We are a non-profit fighting for its future, fighting against NHS privatisation, and fighting for the safety of patients and the welfare of NHS staff members👍💙

David Cameron was right! #Brexit ensured 🇬🇧 lose power. CPTPP allows foreign corporate lobbyists to interfere with our ability to live free and healthy lives. Low quality food imports will decimate food security and public health. Time to take back control! Sign the petition!

When you’ve won power based on a giant lie, it is impossible to retreat to the truth. But unless these charlatans face up to the truth, the problems they say have nothing to do with Brexit will mount. They have to be swept away with such force that we never see their like again

Absurd gibberish. EU law on foreign policy doesn't ban Member States from supplying arms unless an arms embargo is agreed unanimously, ie the UK could have vetoed any proposals for an embargo. And most Member States have supplied arms anyway!

"Jaguar Land Rover joins Vauxhall maker Stellantis in criticising Brexit deal, piling pressure on Government" Come on in, the water's warm. It only took one company to have the courage to speak up, and suddenly we're facing an avalanche of Brexit truths. inews.co.uk/news/jaguar-la…

Wonder why Australian beef is cheaper than British beef? The video on the left is 🇦🇺 govt funded feedlot houses 70,000 animals fed only grain to fatten quicker. Our British cattle on the right graze across acres with plenty of trees for shade. Each has a passport.
