On this day in 1985, “We Are the World” songwriters Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie and producer Quincy Jones led an all-night, celebrity recording session to record the charity single. Jackson and Richie won the 1986 “Song of The Year” Grammy for their efforts.

The final night of recording "We Are the World" was held on January 28 1985. Michael arrived earlier than the other artists, to record his solo section and record a vocal chorus by himself. His voice is so angelic and soothing 🤧✨!!! A blessing for the ears ❤ #MichaelJackson
