Honored to have Ben Tinsley for our plenary session. Thank you for asking us to address important questions to frame our teaching practices, such as “Proficiency in service of what?” #CIMW22

I am now thinking about using backwards design with centering over including, modeling curiosity (& humility) over being an expert, and map talking. Thank you Benjamin Tinsley for sharing your expertise today at #cimw22 !! 👏👏 #ci #dei

I love the idea of challenging Ss with podcasts 🎧 hence listening practice without the usual visuals 😬 (or prep for phone convos!! ☎️ ). All of your post activities sound so fun and many were new to me- especially ‘Let Nine Shine’. ✍️🎧 Thank you @ProfeYedinak !!! #cimw22 #ci

Meg Volz Teacher's Discovery Garbanzo - Learn language online through stories. Señor Wooly Fluency Matters Martina Bex TPT In my session slides for today I have a slide of paid vs free digital resources with links. tinyurl.com/tristanocimidw… slide 12 - some you could print / laminate. If your students have 1:1 devices that would be easier for a traveling teacher! #cimw22

I was reminded of ‘papa caliente’ (hot potato)🔥🥔 for reviewing any rdg or just fluency work. In 2-3 teams Ss read a passage tog. Ss pass the 🥔 after one sentence. Whoever finishes first wins! All my level Ss could do it- mix up the groups each round! #ci #adi

I am super passionate about making my Ss aware of their privilege to even be able to go to school but never really sure how to go about it. Love this! ❤️
