It's so bleak how we have to be grateful for the bare minimum from those with power (over us). It's so bleak that disabled people's lives and existence and dignity hang on the whims of a few elites

Politics is not a game. It's people's lives. The Government's welfare cuts will have a catastrophic impact on the sick & disabled, and plunge hundreds of thousands of people into poverty. It's simple: show some humanity and drop this Bill, now.

The ‘narrative’ we’re reframing with these CASCAIDr Opinions is that law and legal literacy just don’t matter any longer, now breach of the rule of law has become normalised and there’s no money nor legal aid lawyers to fight this trend. buff.ly/HkJTm7b

Comparing disabled people to paralympians, geniuses, people with pre-existing wealth/home ownership, or ability to get into well paid work saying "if they can, you can do anything" is not the gotcha you imagine it is. So go on then, be an astronaut, a cat walk model, a surgeon.

Recovery in the Bin Uncle Tits Work is not the be all and end all in life. These Tories think work defines them. What gaslighters they are while they’ve done everything to devalue skills, remove well paid skilled jobs and not make work pay

If I was rich I would be able to seek legal advice and support to help with the constant failures of health and social care time and time again but because I'm not rich I have to watch my loved one being failed over & over, watch inappropriate care playing out in front of me

Why am I as an exhausted carer having to tell the professionals involved how certain processes work, that they are paid to understand, I'm so fed up with so many systems right now

Paula Peters DWP Spin Decoder I’m suspicious of National Autistic Society too when they prioritise working over housing - in fact hardly mentioning housing The The Labour Party govt & colluding charities have turned #Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs upside down & put the cart before the horse 🐴 It’s illogical, unreasonable & unjust

Whether mental health or chronic illness, what's with the willingness to only work with people who show quick progress, it's like longterm/lifelong conditions don't exist. They don't consider they maybe aren't providing the right support. Instead people aren't trying hard enough

The exact words I used 7 years ago. “I wish I never asked for help.” They deserve the world and more. Families are traumatised. Lives are being wasted. This is a national scandal. 💔 This is not care. This is neglect. #homesnothospital #learningdisabilities #humanrights

Why is it so hard for so many people to get the right support or reasonable adjustments and why are so many feeling a burden because of it. I'm really becoming done with it all & the fight

It's A Puzzling Life (@spuzzling) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Anyone know of legal team who can support with S117 & accommodation plus issues, very fed up with being told we need to go down the housing benefit route, when I know we shouldn't have to

This is a time where I wished I had a larger followers list, because asking questions then might not feel like I'm asking into the abyss

It's A Puzzling Life (@spuzzling) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Why is it I've had it worse, I've been able to do this so you should too or you should do this or that, rather than realising experiences are different & supporting each other and actually and rightfully placing the issue with the government & services failing most of us

Learning Disability Today It is possible to get it right. Trouble is…commissioners don’t usually want to. It’s easier to purchase what’s available rather than commission what’s needed. It’s also worth bearing in mind that there are examples where housing has been made available but the care is still
