In the early 1900s, this bridge was first built to bring the MBTA Commuter Rail over Temple St. SPS remediated this bridge under a Structural Repairs Contract, coordinated with the MBTA and City of Boston, and combined efforts with Baystate Shotcrete to use shotcrete.

In late August, the DWW-SPS JV implemented our Phase 1 Temporary Traffic Control Plan on I-195 in New Bedford, including changing the median to create a crossover. This crossover is anticipated to be completed in November, and demolition of the I-195 Westbound bridge will follow.
