SOCIAL MEDIA SCHOOL THREATS INVESTIGATION: SPPD is aware of threats on social media regarding schools in Saint Paul. These threats are something we take very seriously. We have been working diligently with the Minnesota BCA and Saint Paul Public Schools to investigate the posts.

A juvenile suspect is in custody who admitted to posting the threats about Saint Paul schools and did not have the means or desire to carry out the threat. There is no ongoing threat at this time, but we don't know if this is the only person sharing these disturbing messages

We will continue to work with our law enforcement and school partners to ensure safety at all our schools. Thank you to all those who said something when they saw these posts.
