Funny how an aging veteran on an expensive contract “has” to retire due to a run of the mill diagnosis. Real diagnosis is cap circumvention. #ryancallahan

If we’ve learned a lesson this past week, it would be that the duty of a coach first and foremost is to lead and teach. It is possible to simultaneously be both demanding and respectful of players. #billpeters #mikebabcock #NHL

Don’t buy into learning “perfect technique” at anything you do. It doesn’t exist. Only what’s perfect for you. Trying to “fix” the technique of the fastest man alive would likely serve only to slow him down. Technique work important, but with individual application/specificity.

You cannot get educated by this self-propagating system in which people study to pass exams, and teach others to pass exams, but nobody knows anything. You learn something by doing it yourself, by asking questions, by thinking, and by experimenting. 🧠

The same night of sleep measured by Whoop and Oura. Subjectively, it was awful, I was awake from ~3-6am. Whoop = 96% sleep score, I was "near perfect"! Oura = 65 and clocked nearly double the amount of awake time vs Whoop.

All of the public data tells us that Mikyla Grant-Mentis is a truly dominant player. A high volume shooter who also piles up A1 but doesn't depend on the PP to score goals. She's the right player to smash the piggy bank for. One of the best 1v1 players I've ever seen.
