The Platypus Review Reader Vol. 2 edited by Lou Sterrett and myself is now available in paperback and hardcover here. If you haven't got vol. 1 and "Marxism in the Age of Trump" already, you can pick up those too. platypus-publishing.square.site/shop/books/2PJ…

This cannot end well. Irene Khan seems to imagine that somehow "students" and human rights can substitute for organized politics. youtu.be/4VXBk6YHIbg?si…

I finally went and dug up Losurdo's favorite quote to bash Nietzsche with, the one about importing Chinese workers into Europe to serve there as "diligent ants," and, of course, in Nietzsche it's to exactly the opposite purpose as what it's said to be. Dawn #206

I know it made people mad when I said it on a livestream, but people really must learn how to read! Nietzsche's main point in the passage is that the working class was allowing itself to become slavish by its acceptance of no more than democracy and sausages.

As for the Chinese, the final sentence states that, in his hypothetical scenario of mass Chinese migration, it would be good for Europeans to intermarry with them, so as develop deeper "perserverance."

The clear implication being that the new European working class would set about its historic tasks with perseverance instead of contenting itself with being well-paid slaves.

"Trump’s enemies warn that as attorney general, Gaetz would pursue retribution against them. He is more likely to make it harder for anyone to use the Justice Department against political opponents, as it’s so often been used against Trump and his allies. From turning a blind eye

That the FBI eventually came to "go after the president of the United States is a hump that most liberals can't get over, but it's absolutely what happened." youtu.be/G70oyZ2A4Gc?si… via YouTube

Why not Gaza? The alternative to genocide has always been and never can be anything but surrender. Washington has been trying to negotiate the surrender of the Palestinians to Israeli victory for more than forty years — ever since Jimmy Carter compactmag.com/article/mar-a-…

My latest with Doug Lain, in which we discuss the prevailing (but also ongoing) social and political regression. youtu.be/VtFbvceZS7c?si…
