The thing about Chernobyl is it brings to light those brave people who knowingly went to their deaths trying to prevent further radiation poisoning. Now we know what they did and we will remember them.

When television was bombarding you with this on a daily basis, being a parent in the 70s and 80s must have been terrifying.
