I’m off work today, still reeling from Howie Tee’s death. He produced one of rap’s most underrated posse cuts ever, “5 Men And A Mic” from Dr. Special Ed’s Legal album in 1990.
Howie Tee (RIP) produced rap’s first country music-themed record “Hoedown” from Dr. Special Ed’s classic 1989 debut album Youngest In Charge. This was decades before Nelly’s collaborations with country artists and Lil Nas X’s 2018 Billboard chart-topper “Old Town Road.”
