Me: has a salad for dinner Also me: well, I had a salad for dinner so I should have some ice cream.

Instead of asking, "Did you have fun at daycare/kindy?" to my 5yo, I found rephrasing to a open answered question, "What was your favourite activity you did today?" got a much better response with actual conversation rather than a simple yes or no.

It is so great to see that my 8year old son shares my cooking skills.... The microwave is still recovering from the science experiment. #cookingfail #parentfail #homeschool
