Inclement weather canceled Table Rock but our bank fishing Spartans beat Marquette. De Smet 1 dominated, catching 39 fish! Kevin Dolan ‘27 had the big bass, Jack Howard ‘27 the big trout, and Team 2’s Tony Zoia ‘27 and Caleb Schreckenberg ‘27 tied for big bluegill De Smet Jesuit
The catfish ruled the day as De Smet 1 eeked out a win over a tough Lindbergh team. Jack Howard ‘27 had the Monster Cat of the day, although Braden Winkelman ‘27 on Team 2 also had an impressive catch! Shoutout to the De Smet Jesuit fishing moms measuring & scoring today!
The stories of the day at Forest Park were Caleb Schreckenberg ‘27 for De Smet 2 catching the big Bluegill while fly fishing, and Michael Distelrath ‘25 hauling in a last-minute trout to lift De Smet 1 to a come-from-behind win over a tough Marquette squad De Smet Jesuit
Jack Howard ‘27 caught the lone catfish on the day, Alexander Montellano ‘27 had the big bass and Luca Gruszka ‘27 had the big Bluegill as the De Smet Jesuit fishing team finished the bank fishing season undefeated with the win over Oakville. #RaiseTheBar
Congrats to Danny Swallow ‘24, Nick Whitney ‘27, and boat captain Chris Dougan for competing this week in the TBF SAF World Finals and National Championship at Lake Hartwell. They didn’t advance to Saturday’s finals but represented De Smet Jesuit proudly. Well done men!

It's a chilly but busy day in the De Smet Jesuit fishing team world! Michael Distelrath '25 and Rylan Govero '25 are one of four boats competing in the Ozarks while four bank fishing teams battle at Forest Park.
The De Smet Jesuit Gold fishing team beat Marquette and De Smet Maroon this morning in Session 1, while De Smet White fell to Oakville in Session 2. Shoutout to Braden Winkelmann ‘27 for his De Smet record Catfish!

The De Smet Jesuit fishing team represented well today at Busch Wildlife against Lindbergh! 12 bass and 16 bluegill were caught by 8 anglers, including three bass that broke the school record!
Several members of the De Smet Jesuit fishing club braved the cold weather this morning for a fruitful outing at Busch Wildlife, catching bass, bluegill, and catfish.
