Holiday sweetness.

Today was the day, on her Dad’s birthday, that my sis-in-law Meaghan was so desperate she bought “Walmart” insulin @ $25 leaving her $25 to make it to the 26th when she got a $2000 paycheck. She died on Christmas. Copay caps would not have helped her. #insulin4all #AllWaysMeaghan

The coroner said Meaghan passed around 1pm on Christmas. Her roommate was at work. She left when Meaghan was resting on the couch. When she returned that night she thought M was still resting it wasn’t until the next morning she found Meaghan in the same position that she knew

I had just gone to my lunch break at work and this is how I found out about Meaghan. We thought she died the day after Christmas not on especially since it was her fave (besides her birthday). Her brother had to tell his parents. He sat w/the roommate. I finished my shift.

Today is my youngest son’s 8th diaversary. At diagnosis we almost lost him. He’s had T1 1/2 his life. In 10yrs he’ll be 26yo, he’ll age off my insurance if I’m lucky to still be working. His Aunt Meaghan only lived 18yrs w/T1. Today is chock full of feelings.
