I've been asked why artists can't just "adapt and work alongside AI". This implies that artists and AI artists are on equal standing, when in reality it's a parasitic relationship. Artists will thrive without AI, but AI needs to steal from real artists' work to automate images.

A lot of non art people talk about how AI eliminates drudgery and allows us to "focus on being creative" As if they even know what that means. They don't understand that the process is where the creativity happens. It's in all the small choices you make along the way.
