The children have enjoyed learning about plants and what they need to grow, they enjoyed planting their own beans and looking at the plants and herbs in our new sensory garden! A big thank you to Thompsons at crews hill who kindly donated the plants to us!

A huge thank you to Kenson Highways, who took time out of their busy day to collect some donated cupboards for us and transport them to school. We are so grateful for the support of companies like this in our local community!

The Nursery children had a great time this week building houses for the three little pigs. They used sticks, spaghetti and bricks. Some children even adapted the spaghetti, using a pipe cleaner, to make the spaghetti stand up!

This week, TfL visited Year 6 for Junior Citizenship training. The children learnt about using the bus and other methods of public transport responsibly, what anti social behaviour means and how to be safe and responsible in public.

Year 4 have been rocking out today as Times Table Rock Stars! They've enjoyed dressing up at their TTRS avatars; battling the other classes online and lots of other fun times table activities!

After reading the book Handa’s Surprise set in Kenya, Reception had fun dressing up in African clothing, which were kindly donated to Southbury. We spoke about the colours, fit and style. The children then had fun role playing parts of the story using fruit from the home corner!
