What 'shouldn't' be under regional interpretation, is that Cross Country should make different demands to what's pretty much simply 'a flat run'. Shouldn't CC, by definition, have hills, twists, turns, surface changes, e.g. regular breaks in rhythm? Otherwise, what's the point?
