Surely now everyone can see that this isn’t a neutral organisation with the best interests of children as its core values?

Children with complex needs being told their bodies may be wrong is nothing less than inappropriate and abusive practice.

I have called for a review into LGBT Youth Scotland and what they offer in schools.

Qu’s that the ed sec couldn’t answer

-why are they operating in primary schools?
-are they acting by outwith their own constitution (ages 13-25)
-are they distributing age appropriate materials?

Unbelievable that these parents (and the children involved) were treated this way. The harm caused by schools blindly following guidance that is not fit for purpose is clear to see.

How many more families will fall foul to this Jenny Gilruth?

The guidance isn’t up to date though! It hasn’t been since the EHRC’s technical guidance was amended to reflect equalities law in this area.

We included all of this information in our petition that was closed.

Stephen Kerr MSP we’d be happy to meet you and share more with you.

A thread of more Scottish primary schools signed up to LGBT Youth Scotland's indoctrination scheme.

We know 1 reason why Meghan Gallacher MSP changed her mind - she spoke to one of our parents whose daughter had been transitioned in school against clinical & parent advice.

The other is what happened to the rest of us. We realised this was causing harm.

One of the concerns that we raised with OSCR - the independent regulator and registrar for charities in Scotland - was LGBT Youth Scotlands creep into primary schools.

This was 2 years ago.

Our petition to remove the school guidance until the came out was closed, after the committee declined to speak to groups we recommended instead getting views from those directly involved in creating the guidance.

We’re glad this is getting raised, again.

“East Lothian council has said its policies are in line with guidance issued by the SNP government”.

And that is the issue we’ve been trying to highlight for years! This guidance is not fit for purpose, but schools will blindly follow it. archive.ph/2024.04.19-142…

We spoke with the mum several times, saw evidence of the concern being raised and were sent the responses from the school.

We also wrote directly to the school and the issue was raised with the governing body of the girls sport team he was also allowed to join.

'There are lots of things that could be happening in the mind of a child who says they were born in the wrong body, and we’ve not been allowed to discuss or question that openly for fear of being told we are transphobic.'

So this statement and that by Sandford says puberty blockers etc for new patients were halted mid-March before the final Cass report and in line with what NHS England did. Why has the Scot Govt not said this when questions were asked since Cass was published? Bizarre
