I hope that women’s groups like Wales-Women’s Rights Network 💜🤍💚🏴 & Merched Cymru as well as campaigners like Venice Allan & J.K. Rowling are listened to with a bit more respect following the Cass Review. Labour First Minister must heed the findings of the review.
Excellent thread on the systematic review of international guidelines commissioned by the #CassReview .
Starting with WPATH and the Endocrine Society, this is how the myth of 'best practice' was manufactured.
Cass has exposed a fraud.
'One emerging criticism of the Cass review is that it set the methodological bar too high for research to be included in its analysis...
In fact the reality is different...the methodological bar for gender medicine studies was set too low'

'Gender identity is self-diagnosed. You can't measure it.'

Very good to see Susan Evans on BBC Newsnight last night. Measured, professional and compassionate as ever.

'I don’t feel as riled up as I did five years ago,” she says. “The anger is still there, but I’m able to manage it better. I’m hoping it will diminish over time. But it’s always going to be there'

NHSE will do a Cass-style review of the adult gender clinics. This is what we have been asking for.
Interesting that only Exeter gave the #CassReview the data they asked for - the only clinic to produce an audit. What are the other 6 clinics hiding?

'Young people are in a state of neurocognitive and psychosexual development into their mid-20s. Some mature faster than others, and we have no way of knowing when the majority will be in a settled identity.'
