CBP officers seized about 1,291,400 fentanyl pills, 4.75 lbs fentanyl powder, and 4.8 lbs of heroin in 4 incidents on Saturday and Sunday.  Concealment areas in the 4 cars included the center hump, rear panels, spare tire, roof, and collars attached to rims in all 4 tires.

On Tuesday, CBP officers seized approx. 294,200 fentanyl pills, 9.45 lbs fentanyl powder, 1.20 lbs pink colored fentanyl powder and 4.60 lbs of cocaine. The narcotics were hidden in the cargo area of a SUV.  Good job by the K9 team and officers conducting layered enforcement ops.

Seized fentanyl pills from a #DEA #LA case at the DEA SW Lab. #DYK according to DEA lab testing, on average a fentanyl pill contains 2.34 milligrams of fentanyl. 2 milligrams is considered a potentially deadly dose. The SW lab has tested pills with over 6 milligrams of fentanyl.
