New report from Surviving Economic Abuse shows how abusers are weaponising joint mortgages against a staggering 750,000 UK women. We support their call on government to set up an economic abuse task force to stop joint mortgage abuse & put economic abuse at the heart of its VAWG strategy.

The benefit cap blocks many survivors from accessing safe housing, making it harder to escape abuse. Those who reach a refuge can’t move on, limiting space for others. We’re joining Child Poverty Action Group & Shelter to call on the Government to scrap the cap.
